At Baby Otter Swim School, our mission is to save lives and prevent child drownings by educating parents and teaching young swimmers the techniques for survival, as well as beginners lessons for swimmers of all ages.

To help parents prepare for swimming lessons, we’ve launched a blog devoted to providing kids swimming safety advice. On a regular basis, we will update our blog with the latest news, stats and research related to child drowning statistics, child drowning prevention, kids swimming lessons and other valuable information.

Baby Otter’s wonderful staff was specially selected and trained by the founders and approved by our swimmers. We consider our staff the finest teachers in the industry. They continually prove themselves by the amazing swimmers they produce. We are fortunate to have such a caring group.Baby Otter Swim School is a member of the  Children’s Safety Network of South Florida and National Swim School Association. Instructors Marlene Bloom and Mindy York regularly hold water safety seminars for children, parents, educators and administrators. They have been telecast on local news stations to make the community aware of water safety for all ages. Newspaper articles have also been written to make parents aware of using layers of protection when it comes to water safety.

Baby Otter Swim School recently launched a short instructional DVD on kids swimming safety, titled, Is Your Child’s Life Worth Ten Minutes?, available on tenminutesforlife.com a unique visual guide demonstrating the hazards found in the pool environment with step-by-step recommendations for how to avoid those hazards and deal with a pool related emergency.  An invaluable education resource for every parent or care-giver providing the information and skills necessary to prevent another child from becoming a drowning statistic.
